Deputy Chief of US Mission visits Krakow

Douglas C. Greene, who was recently nominated as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw visited the office Mayor Jacek Majchrowski on 12 August this year.

It was Mr. Greene's first official visit in Kraków. Together with Jacek Majchrowski he considered possible areas where Polish cooperation with US could be further developed, i.e. education, economy, high technology and culture.
The visit also announced the upcoming change on the position of U.S. Ambassador to Poland. Current Ambassador Lee Feinstein will end his mission in Poland at the end of this year and will most probably be replaced by Stephen Mull. This diplomat has previously been on a mission in Poland, participating in procidures preparing Poland to join NATO.
