ISIC 2018 - Information Behaviour Conference

On October 9-11, 2018, an international ISIC conference was held in Kraków, preceded by workshops for PhD students.

The ISIC conference is a platform for a broad and open community to engage with the dynamism of the field through research presentations, discussions and workshops about the way people engage with information in a myriad of contexts. This very human focus is reflected not only in the publication of papers presented at each conference, but also in the opportunity that each conference provides as a site for open-ended conversations about information. ISIC 2018 intends to reflect and engage with the interdisciplinary character of information research and seeks to attract papers from all of these areas. ISIC is a conference for research papers exploring information as a rich site of study, going beyond the sole focus on technological aspects and exploring a wide variety of contexts. This legacy is borne out in the publication of the conference proceedings since the first conference in the series over 20 years ago. We invite experienced researchers as well as newcomers to the field.
