ATELIER project
The ATELIER project is an incentive supporting the development of Positive Energy Districts.
Within the frame of the project we will work on designing City Vision 2050 which will set directions for Kraków’s development. We will also create the ATELIER Innovation Center that will serve as a meeting place for residents, informal groups, energy communities or urban activists. We would like it to be a vibrant communication platform linking all those who care about improving the quality of life in our city. The ATELIER project concentrates on developing Positive Energy Districts in two Lighthouse Cities Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and Bilbao (Spain) in cooperation with 30 partners from 11 European countries, including Kraków. The City of Kraków joined this project in November 2019.
It is financed by the European Commission under the HORIZON 2020 programme and coordinated by the City of Amsterdam. ATELIER is to present the innovative solutions implemented by Amsterdam and Bilbao which thanks to the integration of smart mobility and new technologies in buildings are able to produce more energy than they consume. Cities participating in the project, including Kraków, will benefit from the well tested and efficient solutions and implement them for their needs.
