Krakow and Malopolska’s Homage to Pope John Paul II
Live broadcasts of the canonization mass in the Sanctuary of the Blessed John Paul II in Łagiewniki, concerts by local artists and outdoor shows – this is how Krakow celebrated the canonization of John Paul II on Sunday April 27th.
The canonization mass for John Paul II and John XXIII take place on Sunday (April 27th) in the Vatican. Those unable to visit Rome at the time, could participate in the host of accompanying events in Krakow and throughout Malopolska.
All events related to the canonization were prepared jointly by the Municipality of Krakow, Marshal's Office of the Malopolska Region, The Institute for Intercultural Dialogue Institute, John Paul's Centre in Krakow and many other institutions who invited all Krakovians and pilgrims to join in the celebrations.
