Wisława Szymborska dies at 88
Wisława Szymborska - poet, essayist, Nobel Prize winner, honorary citizen of the City of Krakow, died yesterday, on February 1 in her Krakow apartment. She contributed immensely to popularising Polish culture and our city worldwide.
Mayor of the City of Krakow Jacek Majchrowski was deeply moved by the news of her passing away and wishes to pay his condolences to the friends and family of this eminent Cracovian.
