Tony Blair in Krakow

The former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, was a special guest of ABSL Conference organised in Krakow on 16-17 June 2015. Mr. Blair opened his speech with a statement that Poland should be proud of what it has achieved in its 25 years of freedom.

The main topic of the former British Prime Minister` s speech were the opportunities and threats associated with the process of globalisation. Blair repeatedly underlined that education is the key for development that has to be adjusted to the constantly changing, among others by new technologies, reality. In his speech, the politician referred also to the current international situation. He noted that, considering the growing power of China, all European countries must stay close together. He further added that alliances have to base not only on common strategy but also on shared values. The second part of Mr. Blair` s appearance at the ABSL Conference involved a Question-and-Answer Session. The politician` s answers were rich in funny anecdotes from the times when Tony Blair served as Britain` s Prime Minister and apt remarks about current politics given with a taste of specific British irony.

The Annual ABSL Conference is the most important business service sector event in Europe. It serves as a networking and knowledge sharing platform for C-suite managers representing Fortune 500 players and leading technology and business services companies as well as sector stakeholders.
