Krakow shows solidarity with France
Krakow paid respect to the victims of Paris terrorist attacks of 13 November. In symbolic gesture International Conference Centre Krakow, Tauron Arena and Bernatka pedestrian bridge were illuminated in French tricolour. Mayor Jacek Majchrowski signed a book of condolence in Consulate General of the French Republic.
French and Polish flags with black mourning ribbons were hung at Krakow Town Hall building.
Cracovians lay candles and flowers at the gate of the French Consulate at Stolarska street and paid respect to the victims with a minute of silence that has been held across Europe at noon on Monday, 16 November.
A book of condolence was opened in the Consulate and Mayor Majchrowski signed it with the message “Deeply shocked by the recent events in Paris, I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and the entire French Nation”.
