Krakow showed solidarity with Nice
Krakow paid respect to the victims of terrorist attack of 14 July in Nice. A truck drove into a crowd at Bastille Day celebrations killing 84 persons and wounding over 130.
French and Polish flags with black mourning ribbons were hung at Krakow Town Hall building.
In symbolic gesture International Conference Centre Krakow, Tauron Arena and Bernatka pedestrian bridge were illuminated in French tricolour until morning of 18th July.
A book of condolence was opened in the Consulate and Mayor Jacek Majchrowski signed it with the message expressing, on behalf of all Cracovians, his sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and the entire French Nation. Mayor Majchrowski wrote also an official letter of condolences to the Ambassador of the Republic of France in Poland H.E. Mr. Pierre Buhler.
