Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism confirms – YES to Winter Olympic Games in Krakow!

Krakow will bid to become a candidate city to organize Winter Olympic Games in 2022. „The government is determined to support this candidacy [...]" – said Minister of Sport Joanna Mucha on Polish Radio Trójka on 21 January.

The cost of organizing Olympic Games amounts to approx. $1.5 billion. „The cost is enormous, but it needs to be emphasized that part of it is going to be reimbursed by the IOC, part of it will be provided by sponsors, so for the government the expense will be much, much lower".
