Historical Museum awarded the Forbes Diamond 2013 prize
The Historical Museum of the City of Krakow is the only museum in Poland recognized by the business sector and listed as a Forbes Diamond 2013 – a title awarded to companies with the biggest value increase.
The Diamond list is compiled by the Forbes magazine and a business intelligence agency Bisnode Polska which accumulates and analyses data to produce a list of companies with biggest value increase.
The Historical Museum of the City of Krakow is the only cultural institution to be recognized by the Forbes Diamond 2013 list in the category of companies with profit of PLN 5–50 million a year. The Museum placed 34th in the Malopolska Region 389th in Poland among 1228 companies.
In 2012 the branches of the Historical Museum organized 16 exhibitions and 50 other events attended by 945 812 visitors.
