For centuries, Kraków has been a meeting place of cultures, languages, and traditions. On September 6, starting at 3:00 PM, we invite all residents to a special outdoor event – “Multicultural Picnic at Wesoła – Let’s Get to Know Each Other Better” – filled with music from around the world, artistic and educational workshops, and an open, joyful atmosphere.
During the event, the titles of Kraków Ambassadors of Multiculturalism will be awarded for the 7th time – to individuals and organizations that have made a special contribution to dialogue and integration in our city.
The first weekend of September is a perfect opportunity to celebrate Kraków’s diversity together. From 3:00 PM until evening, we will dance, sing, discover new skills, and enjoy the company of people from all over the world who have chosen Kraków as their home.
Performances will include artists from Ukraine, Belarus, and Cameroon. On the main stage, music from different continents will resound – from the traditional songs and rhythms of India, Africa, and Brazil to the contemporary sounds of multicultural Kraków. Participants can also look forward to a fashion show presenting traditional costumes from many corners of the globe.

NATIONAL READING - internationally
The event connects with the nationwide initiative National Reading, dedicated this year to the works of Jan Kochanowski. At 5:30 PM, Kraków’s Ambassadors of Multiculturalism will read fragments of his writings, showing that the values present in Polish literature can inspire and unite people regardless of their origin.

The evening will close with the concert “Kraków – We Belong Here” performed by Joanna Słowińska & Stanisław Słowiński Quartet. Special guests of the Słowiński family will include Wassim Ibrahim (Syria), Giovanny Laguado (Colombia), and Ethan Smith (South Africa) – artists who have chosen Kraków as their home.
