A Gift from Kraków’s Consulates for the “High-Flying Library”

Thanks to the initiative of the Kraków Mayor's Office, Biblioteka Kraków has received a collection of foreign-language books from representatives of the Kraków consular corps. The donated volumes can be found on the shelves of the “High-Flying Library” located at Kraków Airport in Balice.

The books were collected during the traditional New Year’s meeting between the Mayor of Kraków and members of the Kraków diplomatic corps. The donation of the books symbolizes our city’s international cooperation and the promotion of its multicultural character.

We would like to recall that Biblioteka Kraków established the Airport Library in cooperation with the Kraków Airport Aviation Education Centre in December 2022. It can be found next to Gate 4 at the John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice.

The bookshelf is regularly stocked with new releases and donations from friends of Biblioteka Kraków. Readers can find books in many languages, with titles available for both younger and older audiences. All volumes are marked with special stamps!
