Krakow has been awarded the title of ‘Diamond of the Polish Economy 2025’, presented by the European Institute of Business. This award is presented to towns and cities in which there are many companies with a high market value.
For over 20 years, the European Institute of Business has been analysing the financial results of between 200,000 and 300,000 Polish companies, using official data from the National Court Register. On this basis, it compiles an annual ranking recognising companies and local authorities with strong economic potential.
In the 18th edition of the ranking, 323 towns and cities from across Poland were awarded the title of ‘Diamond of the Polish Economy 2025’. The winners included local authorities within whose boundaries there are at least ten companies with an estimated market value exceeding PLN 10 million (as at December 2025).
This accolade confirms Krakow’s strong position as one of the country’s most important economic centres and as a place that fosters the development of entrepreneurship and investment.
The full ranking of cities awarded the title of ‘Diamond of the Polish Economy 2025’ is available on the European Institute of Business’ website.
