Ryanair Training and Simulation Centre Launches in Kraków

On 30 September 2025, Ryanair opened one of the most advanced training and simulation centres in Central and Eastern Europe, located in Kraków. The investment, worth over €100 million, brings new opportunities for the region and the entire aviation industry.

The centre, situated at Kraków-Balice Airport – Ryanair’s largest base in the region – began operations with two Boeing 737-8200 Gamechanger simulators and a training fuselage for safety exercises. More devices will be added soon. Ultimately, the facility will house 10 simulators, enabling training for up to 500 people daily, and will create 150 new jobs.

We are proud to open in Kraków one of the most advanced centres in Europe, where we will train aviation professionals from across the continent, - said Michael O’Leary, CEO of the Ryanair Group.

It is a great satisfaction for us that Kraków has been chosen as the location for such a significant investment. It will create new jobs and strengthen our city’s position as an economic and technological hub, - added Aleksander Miszalski, Mayor of Kraków.

The opening coincided with the 20th anniversary of Ryanair’s presence in Kraków. The airline, the first in the world to carry 200 million passengers annually, currently has 44 aircraft based in Poland and serves nearly 19 million passengers.

The new centre confirms Ryanair’s commitment to the region’s development and brings cutting-edge technology and know-how to Kraków, establishing the city as an important hub on Europe’s aviation map.
