Kraków Library (Biblioteka Kraków) is a member of  the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, a prestigious organization representing the interests of library and information services and their users.

IFLA was founded in 1927 in Edinburgh, Scotland. It has more than 1,500 members in over 150 countries around the world. International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions was registered in 1971 in the Netherlands. The Royal Library, the national library of the Netherlands, located in The Hague, provides the facilities for IFLA headquarters.

IFLA is an independent, international non-profit organization. The key areas of the body’s activities are: promotion of the high standards of provision and delivery of library and information services, encouraging widespread understanding of the value of good library and information services  and representing the interests of IFLA members. 

Kraków Library is an institutional member of IFL active in the organization’s two sections: Public Libraries and Metropolitan Libraries.
