National Day of Lithuania

Today Lithuanians celebrate Restoration of the State Day. On 16^th February 1918 in Vilnius the Act of Reinstating Independence of Lithuania has been signed and independent State of Lithuania proclaimed.

Lithuania has two national days less than a month apart. On 11^th March the country celebrates the Restoration of Independence Day marking the declaration of independence from the Soviet Union in 1990.
