The Mayor's new plenipotentiaries

Mayor Alexander Miszalski introduced his new plenipotentiaries responsible for the city's activities in the fields of equality, culture and NGOs. They are respectively: Ewelina Pytel, who will look after equality policy for Kraków, Paweł Szczepanik, who will take care of the area of culture in the city, and Artur Buszek - who will work with NGOs.

- We are in the process of replacing our staff. Today, I would like to present as a group the newly appointed plenipotentiaries who will be working with me,’ said Kraków Mayor Aleksander Miszalski.

- It is important to me that every resident, regardless of their health status, gender, origin, nationality, sexual orientation or identity, feels good in Kraków. This is what we will strive for, so that everyone in Kraków feels that the city cares about them and takes into account the needs of different groups,’ Ewelina Pytel emphasised. She announced cooperation with all the mayor's plenipotentiaries and a group of people from outside the public sector to this end. She added that Krakow is already one of the best cities in Poland at improving equality conditions, but much remains to be done, especially in the field of discrimination and sometimes violent behaviour.

- I will make every effort to ensure that such situations do not occur, especially in any office or public institution in Kraków. Outside these institutions, within the scope of my competences, I will also do my best to ensure that all irregularities, personnel-related incidents, which should not take place, disappear and that we can create the culture of this city together, the culture related to the highest level of art, which is created in Kraków, but also the culture of mutual respect, openness and diversity.

Kraków is a diverse city and this is its richness; this diversity should be able to develop here,’ the Plenipotentiary announced.
