Kraków Mayor offers condolences on the death of Jimmy Carter

The 39th President of the United States passed away on 29 December 2024 at the age of 100, US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski announced.

Jimmy Carter was an advocate for democracy, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and a great friend of Poland. On 8 January 8 2025, Krakow Mayor Aleksander Miszalski honoured his life and legacy by making leaving a personal message in the condolence book provided by the U.S. Consulate General in Kraków. The mayor was accompanied by US Consul General in Kraków Erin Nickerson.
