Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism A.D. 2025

The awarding of the title ‘Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism’ is an expression of support for activities and initiatives aimed at promoting cultural, ethnic and religious diversity, as well as the integration of Kraków’s residents and foreign communities.

Pursuant to Resolution No. LXXXV/2418/22 of the Krakow City Council of 25 May 2022 on the establishment of the title of ‘Krakow Ambassador of Multiculturalism’, the award may be granted to individuals or entities such as: non-governmental organisations, institutions, companies or informal groups.

The honorary title is awarded by the Mayor of Krakow, upon the recommendation of the Multiculturalism Chapter, each year in respect of the preceding calendar year.

This year, the title 'Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism' will be awarded for the eighth time.

The Multiculturalism Committee responsible for assessing candidates for the title of ‘Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism A.D. 2025’ will be appointed by a separate order of the Mayor of Krakow.

When selecting candidates for the title, the Selection Chapter takes particular account of:

1. the period of activities for intercultural dialogue in Kraków
2. effects and scope of activities
3. innovative activities that go beyond statutory objectives
4. the variety of activities undertaken

Application for the title 'Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism A.D. 2025' should be made by completing the application form and submitting it:

• at the Department of Social Policy, Equality and Health of the Municipality of Kraków (secretariat – room no. 11 segment B/ III floor):

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 June this year.

The winners of the title receive the distinction 'Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism', according to a design approved by the Multiculturalism Chapter, and may additionally be honoured by being mentioned as holders of the title 'Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism' in the Municipality's publications on activities promoting intercultural dialogue in Kraków.

Notes:

• Anyone who deems it appropriate is entitled to propose candidates for the title 'Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism A.D. 2025'.
• The applicant cannot be a candidate for the title at the same time.
• The nomination may be accompanied by any additional documentation that the nominator considers helpful to the work of the Multiculturalism Chapter. If necessary, members of the Multiculturalism Chapter may request additional information and materials from the applicant.
• All fields on the application form must be completed and the category in which the application is made must be clearly indicated, in accordance with the instructions on the application form, by ticking the appropriate box: A or B.
• The form must include the candidate's or entity's representative's consent to participate in the competition for the title of Kraków Ambassador of Multiculturalism A.D. 2025.
