Austrian Institute in Krakow

The Österreich Institut Polska was founded in 1970 and is  owned by the Austrian Foreign ministry. Main task is the organization of German language courses and diploma exams.  ÖI also cooperates with schools, universities and other institutions in host countries in order to support teaching and learning German putting special emphasis on the aspects of Austrian culture. There are altogether ten institutes in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina and  Russia. Activities of institutes are coordinated by the headquarter in Vienna.
