Study In Krakow
Basic facts and figures:
Study in Krakow (SiK) was officially established in 2008, but its history goes back to 2005, when International Offices of 4 Krakow universities decided to join their efforts and start working together. These founding universities were AGH University of Science and Technology, Cracow University of Economics, Cracow University of Technology and the Jagiellonian University. The main goal of this initiative is to promote and develop Study in Krakow as an internationally recognizable brand with the aim of reaching the largest possible number of foreigners interested in studying in Krakow. We also focus on various activities aiming at facilitating and increasing the attractiveness of the stay. At the present moment, the members of the project are City Hall of Krakow and ten universities: Academy of Music in Krakow, AGH University of Science and Technology, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, Cracow University of Economics, Cracow University of Technology, Jagiellonian University, Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts, Pedagogical University, University of Agriculture, University School of Physical Education. Number of foreign students enrolled in the universities co-operating within the framework of Study in Krakow increases every year. This includes all kinds of students, who come to study in Krakow for varied periods of time from one semester up to full-time masters academic programmes and postgraduate studies. While we are focusing on free movers, we are also paying attention to attracting students who come to Krakow within numerous scholarship frameworks run by the particular universities. The most common include: Erasmus, Mundus, SMILE, UNESCO, CEEPUS, DAAD, Agricola, Asem Duo, Polish Government Stipends, USA Government Stipends, SAPIENT, EU Australia Joint Mobility Programme Crossings, GFPS, EMBS, STAIR, STEP, JOSZEF, Marie Curie Actions, etc.
