Classic in Black and White. Photos of Krakow in Thuringia

The exhibition comprises previously unpublished series of the same title, created in Krakow with the Leica Monochrom.

For this project, Hartmann allowed Krakow to set the stage for his love of geometry, order and clarity, and his quest for the decisive moment. “The Leica Monochrom was a vital element in the completion of this project – not only by reducing the photographic process to the essentials, but also by allowing me to capture the moment in its most natural form due to the camera’s unobtrusive appearance,” the photographer explains."
