Wall Mall Art – international mural art competition
Galeria Krakowska is organising an international competition for one of the largest murals in Poland. Both Polish and foreign street artists will have over 1400 sq. m. of surface area at their disposal. Their task will be to create an artistic work on the façade of Galeria Krakowska facing the railway station. The MALL WALL ART mural competition is open for all.
Galeria Krakowska is organising an international competition for one of the largest murals in Poland. Both Polish and foreign street artists will have over 1400 sq. m. of surface area at their disposal. Their task will be to create an artistic work on the façade of Galeria Krakowska facing the railway station. The MALL WALL ART mural competition is open for all.
Galeria Krakowska is open to contemporary art. The MALL WALL ART competition is an opportunity to create a work of art which, to a large extent, will have an impact on the image of Krakow, as one of the largest murals in Poland ever will be created here. Moreover, the city will acquire a modern image and a unique example of art in public space.
The prize founded by Galeria Krakowska is 20 thousand PLN (approx. 5000 Euro). The awarded design will be executed in May 2013. The costs associated with creating the mural will be covered by Galeria Krakowska.
Competition schedule:
Beginning date: 10th December 2012
Deadline for entering designs: 28th February 2013
Announcing competition results: 31st March 2013
Painting the mural: April/ May 2013
