National Day of Lithuania
Today Lithuanians celebrate Restoration of the State Day. On 16th February 1918 in Vilnius the Act of Reinstating Independence of Lithuania has been signed and independent State of Lithuania proclaimed.
Lithuania has two national days less than a month apart. On 11th March the country celebrates the Restoration of Independence Day marking the declaration of independence from the Soviet Union in 1990.
