For all of you who have not visited Pécs this is the perfect incentive to travel. Those of you who claim to know it inside out will be pleasantly surprised to discover new details and misterious nooks and corners of the "city of five catherdals"...
After the exhibition by Wiesław Majka devoted to the Rynek Underground desplayed in the historic catacombs of Pécs it is time to return the favour to Hungary. An exhibition of 40 works by Pécs photographers devoted to their home town will be available to the public from 7 until 27 November at the Tourist Services Center (Centrum Obsługin Ruchu Turystycznego) in ul. Powiśle 11. The photographs portray squares and buildings of Pécs, be it historic, under renovation or those erected as part of the ambitions programme "Pécs 2010 – European Capital of Culture". Some photographs show architectural details which create the exceptional atmosphere of Pécs and document significant events in the city's life. There is a Polish accent, i.e. a photograph of Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki conducting in the new Kodály Concert and Conference Centre.
