Kraków Among Europe’s Best-Value Easter Getaways
Spring long weekends are the perfect opportunity for a short city break, and with Easter just around the corner, many travellers are already planning their seasonal escape. According to recent analyses by international media, an attractive European trip does not have to come with a high price tag. Among the recommended destinations, Kraków stands out as one of the best-value options.
A ranking prepared by Which? Travel, based on more than 3,000 package holiday deals available in early 2026, places Kraków second among destinations offering the best value for money for an Easter getaway. The average cost of a week-long stay, including return flights, is approximately £628 per person, making Kraków one of the most affordable choices for travellers planning a spring holiday in Europe.
Experts note that the city’s appeal extends well beyond competitive pricing. Kraków boasts a rich cultural heritage, impressive historic landmarks, and a wide range of events and attractions that encourage active sightseeing. In April, average temperatures reach around 14°C (57°F), providing comfortable conditions for exploring the city outside the peak tourist season.
The Turkish resort of Marmaris topped the ranking, followed by Portugal’s Albufeira in third place. Other destinations featured in the list include Las Palmas, Benidorm, Prague, and Budapest. At the opposite end of the scale, Paris recorded the highest travel costs, significantly exceeding the other destinations in the comparison.
The analysis was based on offers from two major UK tour operators and covered week-long trips for two people departing in early April. The results confirm that Kraków continues to strengthen its position as an attractive, accessible and competitive destination for international visitors — particularly during holiday periods and outside the peak tourist season.
