The event is organized to mark the 12th anniversary of the canonization of the Polish Pope, as well as the 80th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Karol Wojtyła. The concert will be performed by renowned Kraków organist Witold Zalewski together with his daughter, Hannah Zalewski, forming a unique father–daughter artistic duo.

Witold Zalewski serves as Titular Organist at Wawel Royal Cathedral and is a professor at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków. This will be his second performance at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, following his debut there in 2007.

The choice of venue is especially meaningful. Pope John Paul II visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral twice, in 1979 and 1995, making it a place of particular significance for commemorating his legacy.

Before his election to the papacy, John Paul II served as Archbishop of Kraków from 1964 to 1978, leaving a lasting impact on the city’s spiritual and cultural identity.

The “Totus Tuus” concert is free and open to the public. It will also be livestreamed on the cathedral’s YouTube channel, allowing audiences around the world to participate.

This event is a meaningful expression of Kraków’s cultural and spiritual heritage presented on the international stage.
