European Rover Challenge 2026
From 4 to 6 September 2026, Kraków will once again become a European hub for robotics and space technology. The city will host the European Rover Challenge (ERC) – one of Europe’s leading events in the space-tech sector. Kraków is the Host City of this year’s competition.
Participants will compete on a specially designed track inspired by the surface of Mars, carrying out tasks based on real-life space missions. However, ERC is much more than an exciting competition between teams building Mars rovers. The programme also includes meetings with scientists, engineers, astronauts and space-sector experts, inspiring talks, an exhibitors’ zone, and interactive educational activities devoted to robotics, artificial intelligence and space exploration.
Teams and enthusiasts of new technologies from around the world will come to Kraków. For residents and visitors alike, this will be a unique opportunity to see advanced robotic designs up close and discover technologies that could support the exploration of other planets in the future.
Admission to the event is free, so families, young people, students and anyone interested in science and new technologies are warmly invited to attend.he detailed programme and information for visitors are available on the European Rover Challenge website.
