Kraków-Wow is the first Polish city collection now available to Internet users around the world. Google Arts & Culture, in cooperation with 13 Kraków cultural institutions, presents a new collection available online. The Kraków-Wow project is a virtual journey through the Polish capital of kings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On 20 March 2023, at an official ceremony in the Meeting Room of Kraków City Council, the World Health Organization (WHO) honored Kraków for its efforts to create an age-friendly environment by officially accepting our city into the Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and Communities. Andrzej Kulig, Deputy Mayor of Kraków, received the certificate from WHO representatives.

The open-air exhibition Women Who Built Kraków, which has been on display in front of the Wyspiański Pavilion on All Saints' Square since March, is an attempt to remind us of the extraordinary women's input in our local architecture. Come and see it!
 

On the morning of 24 February last year, news of the outbreak of war in Ukraine broke around the world. Kraków proved far from indifferent in the face of this tragic news and launched relief efforts for Ukraine, which was fighting the aggressor, and for the refugees arriving here in large numbers.

Milan Paul Kumar, a 10-year old old British boy from Bolton, accompanied by his parents, has visited out City. Milan is already recognizable in his native country due to his humanitarian activity and social involvement.

The 31st finale of Jerzy Owsiak's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) is approaching, and with it the traditional auction of an item presented by the Mayor of Kraków. We have already auctioned a piece of Kraków's most famous skyscraper - the Skeleton, a replica of the Sigismund Bell and this year it's time for Vitali Klitschko's boxing gloves! This symbolic item, which will be handed over for auction by Mayor Jacek Majchrowski, is a gift from the mayor of Kiev in gratitude for the help that Krakovians have offered to the fighting Ukraine.
